Delete your account

You can permanently delete your ZoRove account and its data at any time, from inside the app or from here. No email required, no waiting on a support reply.

Delete it yourself

Sign in and use the Delete account section at the bottom of your account page. You'll be asked to type DELETE to confirm. Deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

Your login, email address and profile
Saved places, including photos, reviews, likes and stays
Note pins and their photos
Saved GPS tracks
Garage vehicles and service records
Tribe and chapter memberships, notices, comments and event RSVPs
Feature board posts, comments and votes
Any moderation reports you filed

What happens to your subscription

If you have an active ZoRove Pro subscription, it is cancelled automatically as part of the deletion. You will not be billed again. We do not refund the remainder of a paid period.

What is kept, and why

Moderation records. If you were a member of a tribe, entries in that tribe's audit log are kept for the community's own moderation history, with your account link removed so they no longer identify you.
Payment records. Our payment processor retains transaction records where tax and accounting law requires it. These are held by Stripe, not by ZoRove.
Server logs. Standard web server logs roll off on their normal ~30-day schedule.

If you founded a tribe

An account that still founds a tribe or chapter can't be deleted, because it would leave that community with no one able to administer it. Transfer founder to another member first (Manage → Members), or archive the tribe, then delete your account.

Offline maps on your device

Downloaded state map packs are stored on your device, not on our servers, so deleting your account does not remove them. Delete them from the Downloads screen, or uninstall the app.

Need help?

If you can't sign in, or something goes wrong partway through, email hello@zorove.com from the address on the account and we'll complete the deletion manually. We aim to action these within 30 days.
